Small Art. Big Impact.
The £1M Sketchbook started with a simple question:
How much good could we create from something as small as a drawing?
On 1 September 2026, we're starting at £0 with an ambitious goal — to build The £1M Sketchbook into a £1 million creative business in just 365 days.
It starts with small, affordable pieces of art.
A £5 print. An original drawing. A blank page turned into something somebody wants to own.
But the ambition is much bigger than the art itself.
Building a Business for Good
The £1M Sketchbook is a commercial business, built with purpose from the very beginning.
We're going to draw, create, experiment, sell, collaborate and see just how far one sketchbook — and the community that grows around it — can go.
And as the business grows, so will its ability to make a difference.
25% of positive Project Profit is committed to The £1M Sketchbook Impact Fund.
That money will be used to support projects capable of creating meaningful, tangible change in communities.
Not just writing cheques and moving on.
We want to help make things happen.
That could mean helping transform a neglected community space. Funding equipment for a local project. Supporting creative opportunities for young people. Helping a community garden grow. Working alongside an established charity. Or backing a brilliant grassroots idea that simply needs someone to believe in it.
And wherever possible, we'll take you with us.
You Help Decide What Happens Next
The people who buy the art, follow the challenge and share the idea aren't just customers or followers.
You're part of the experiment.
As the Impact Fund grows, we'll invite our community to nominate projects, discover causes and help influence where the money can make a meaningful difference.
We'll show what was allocated.
We'll show where it went.
And, wherever it's appropriate and respectful to do so, we'll show what happened because of it.
Because £5 might not feel capable of changing very much on its own.
But £5 multiplied by hundreds — or thousands — of people?
That's where things get interesting.
The £1M Challenge
For 365 days, we'll publicly document the attempt to take The £1M Sketchbook from:
£0 → £1,000,000 revenue.
You'll see the drawings.
You'll see new collections being created.
You'll see experiments that work — and probably quite a few that don't.
You'll see the revenue counter move.
You'll see the financial updates.
And most importantly, you'll see what the success of this little business allows its community to create.
Whether we reach £1 million or fall spectacularly short, we're going to show the result.
Why Is The Artist Anonymous?
Because this isn't supposed to be about the person holding the pen.
The creator behind The £1M Sketchbook has chosen to remain anonymous while being transparent about the project itself.
The business can have a personality.
The art can have personality.
The journey can be documented honestly.
But personal recognition isn't necessary for any of those things.
What matters is what we can build together.
Start With Something Small
Every piece of art sold through The £1M Sketchbook contributes to building the business.
Every follow helps the community grow.
Every share puts the idea in front of somebody new.
And every profitable step forward increases what we're able to commit to impact.
It all starts with something very small.
A blank page. A drawing. A £5 print.
Let's see how big we can make it.
